Nasturtiums

Nasturtiums are blooming. They are great around roses and other plants prone to aphid infestation. Good for salads too! In So Cal they reseed themselves and there are so many I usually have to pull them up because they can block the sun for other plants.

Why don't you bring me some?

I could send you some! I experimented one year with freezing the blooms to use in winter salads. They are not so pretty by the tangy taste is still there. I'll also post a picture of the nasturtiums growing up the side of the house. It looks real Provence, we think... our version of virtual travel...
