We're going to apply the principles of Animal Vegetable Miracle (by Barbara Kingsolver) in three very different American locales - the Pacific Northwest (Seattle), the Southeast (Atlanta), and the Pacific Southwest (Pasadena). We are happy to expand geographically if anyone else cares to jump in!

Chicks!
I'm so excited, I just ordered 4 chicks!! Two Dominques :-D and 2 Giant Jerseys. They should arrive some time in March, which gives us plenty of time to prepare. Oh boy, I can't wait til they get here!

I have tremendous respect for what you're undertaking. Eating locally takes an amazing commitment. We're fortunate to belong to a meat SCA, but we haven't made the step to only using in-season produce. I'll be looking forward to hearing about your experience with chickens. That could possibly be in our future! Best of luck to you.
